Pastor Demetrius McClendon

Pastor Mac

Pastor Demetrius D. McClendon is an accomplished musician, songwriter and vocalist. Pastor Mac began his musical ministry at age five and began formally studying music at age ten. His gifts have truly made room for him and provide him opportunities to travel throughout the United States and abroad, ministering the gospel in song and preached Word, as well as conducting workshops and clinics.

He is a graduate of Huston-Tillotson University with an earned B.A. in Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance and holds two Master of Arts degrees in Worship Leadership and Theological Studies from Dallas Baptist University.

Pastor Mac is the founder and servant leader for One Church, located in Midlothian, TX. He serves as the Chief Chaplain for the City of Midlothian, TX and leads a weekly Chapel for the service personnel and officials of the city every Sunday. Pastor Mac also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the historic Southern Bible Institute of Dallas, TX.

He is a priest, provider and protector of his family – his wife, his favor, Alexis; children, the apples of his eye, daughters MacKenzie Alon, Michaela Annise and namesake Demetrius II, a.k.a. “The Only Begotten”. Pastor Mac unashamedly shares, “She [Alexis] has been my anchor of support and motivation and my girls have completely captured my heart.” The McClendons have been married nearly 15 years. His family is the center of his earthly joy.

When Pastor Mac isn’t singing, writing or preaching, you will definitely find him on a basketball court, reliving his glory days or at home with caring for his family, especially tending to the needs of their 'furry' family members, dogs Zoe and Max.
