Annual MLK Celebration 2023

Join us as we gather to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr at our annual MLK Celebration! This year,  at 10 AM, we will meet at First United Methodist Church located at 800 S 9th St Midlothian, TX 76065. Thank you! If you would like to donate toward the DREAM Scholarship, you can do so below!

 Martin luther King Jr., "DREAM" Scholarship

Each year the MidloMLKDay Committee will sponsor the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship in order to commemorate Dr. King's belief that "progress is best achieved through cooperation rather than conflict, participation rather than partisanship, and compassion and understanding rather than hatred and prejudice."

PURPOSE: Recognizing that one of the nation's most precious resources is our children, this fund is established to provide an opportunity to those young adult men and women who seek college-entry financial support. The MidloMLKDay Committee has pursued an award philosophy where national scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and personal achievement. This group will award individual scholarship grants each year, given as two-year (2) or four-year (4) scholarships.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE: ► Applicant must be a minority student ► Applicant must be a current student a Midlothian High or Heritage High School, Midlothian ISD, Midlothian, Texas ► Applicant must attend an accredited college or university

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT:  The scholarship amount of $1000 is paid directly to the college or university.

SCHOLARSHIP DUE DATE: All nominations and supporting materials must be received at the MidloMLKDay office by June 1st of applicant's Senior year of High School
